Acadia National Park is located about six hours north of Boston.  Take I-95 North to Augusta, and then Route 3 east to Ellsworth and Mount Desert Island.

Plane flights are available from Logan Airport in Boston to Hancock Country Airport, which is ten miles from Acadia.  Shuttle buses from the airport to Mount Desert Island are available from June 23-October 11.  Car rentals are available a the Boston and Hancock County airports, as well as Bangor International Airport (located approximately 45 miles from Acadia National Park).

Acadia National Park features two campgrounds: Blackwoods and Seawall.  The two campgrounds offer both individual and group campsites. All park campsites are located in wooded areas within a ten minute walk of the ocean.
